Organisation: Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ Te Manawa Taki

Trial of the PACE model of care in Speech-Language Therapy (SLT) for adults OP/community. As with many other services across the motu, there is inequitable access to Te Whatu Ora SLT across the Te Manawa Taki region. A project is underway to set up a trial of PACE in the SLT service. Enablers of a PACE model are multi-faceted and include many aspects, including clinical and administrative processes (e.g. consistency/visibility/measurement of service entry, prioritisation, triage, waitlists, therapy outcome measures etc); promotion of telehealth/digital enablement (e.g. video/telephone appointments for individuals, groups and multi-disciplinary team meetings, assisted telehealth clinics, mHealth etc), and; workforce (e.g. flexible working arrangements, ring-fenced outpatient time).
